Dacia Sells Over 55,000 Vehicles in Romania in 2019

Romanian carmaker Dacia, owned by France's Renault, sold 55,463 vehicles in Romania in 2019, slightly higher compared with 54,593 vehicles in 2018, it said in a press release Friday.

Dacia said nearly 45% of new vehicles bought through the government-subsidized car park renewal program were Dacia models.

The top three selling models were Logan, Duster and Sandero.

Dacia's total sales, including international markets, reached 736,570 units. It sold 581,543 units in Europe and ranks 13th among top selling carmakers.

Dacia's main external market was France, with 140,568 vehicles sold in 2019, followed by Italy (88,499 units), Germany (83,518 units), Spain (70,189 units) and Morocco (46,043 units).
