Klaus Iohannis appoints Nelu Tătaru as Health minister

President Klaus Iohannis, on Thursday, signed the decree appointing Nelu Tătaru as Health minister, after Victor Costache's resignation in full coronavirus pandemic.

President Klaus Iohannis has said he took notice of Victor Costache's resignation and signed the appointment of the new minister.

"I took notice of Mr Costache's resignation and signed the appointment of the new minister. Mr. Tataru is aware of the situation and needs to take urgent measures to combat the spread of the virus", Iohannis said.

The president has said that the new minister will start his term on Thursday.
