Madonna Donates Favorite Shoes For Romanian Halloween Charity Ball

Madonna donated her favorite Christian Dior pair of shoes, which has her signature on the heels, for the fifth edition of the Halloween Charity Ball organized by local association Ovidiu Rom.

Madonna's shoes will be auctioned during the ball.

This year, Ovidiu Rom shifts from Celebrity Auctions to Citizen Actions. The new concept encourages those present at the ball to make donations to help children, and by doing so they might receive Madonna's shoes or other objects donated by celebrities.

The donations' value vary from EUR50 to EUR10,000, so that all donors may participate in the drawing of odds.

Donations worth EUR50 will be used to buy school supplies for children, while those worth EUR1,000 will be used to equip schools in poor areas and for teachers' training.

The EUR5,000 donations will be invested in setting up a summer school for 50 underprivileged children.

The EUR10,000 donation will be used in the Adopt a School program.

Leslie Hawke, head of the Ovidiu Rom Association, said she hopes people will continue to support the organization's work.

This year, the Halloween Charity Ball will be organized at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest on October 31. The funds raised at the Halloween Charity Ball will enable the Ovidiu Rom Association to continue its efforts to put underprivileged children through school.
