Romania’s Chamber Of Deputies Adopts Integrity Agency Law

Romania’s Chamber of Deputies Wednesday adopted with 183 votes in favor, no votes against and 27 abstentions the draft law regulating the activity of the National Integrity Agency (ANI).

In a previous voting session Wednesday, the draft law forwarded by the Parliament's Committee for legal matters did not get the 167 votes needed to be adopted, and deputies decided to hold a new vote at the proposition of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania.

The draft act put to the vote Wednesday initially got 151 votes in favor, two votes against and 49 abstentions.
