Romania To Resume Pork Exports To EU Next Year – Acting PM
Romania will resume next year exports of pork products processed in the country to EU member states and will later export pork produced locally in its entirety, acting Prime Minister Emil Boc said Friday.

Because of swine fever, Romania is forbidden from selling pork and salami and sausages made from pork in EU states, but may sell them locally.
The European Commission decided in September 2007 to extend the ban on the sale of pork by Romanian producers until December 31, 2009, assessing that swine fever is not yet under control.
