Romanian Govt Has Money To Co-Finance Ongoing Road Infrastructure Projects - Min

The Romanian Government has funds to co-finance all ongoing road infrastructure projects, Transport Minister Radu Berceanu said Thursday, adding that, next year, Romania will attract large amounts of European Union funds through the Sectoral Operational Program Transport (SOPT).

Berceanu and Prime Minister Emil Boc Thursday inspected works on the Sibiu bypass road, central Romania, and Boc said the bypass road will be finished by December this year.

Works on the 23-kilometer bypass road in Sibiu started in 2003 and should have been finished in 2006, when only 40% of the road was completed.
