Romanians should buy products made in Romania to support the local economy, Nini Sapunaru, head of Agrointeligenta association, told a MEDIAFAX conference about Romanian producers in food industry on Thursday.

“Any acquired product, which is made in Romania, means taxes and fees in Romania. Approximately 60% of the Romanian industry means Romanian employers. It doesn’t seem right for a multinational to make a store with World Bank funds,” Sapunaru said.

In his turn, Maricel Floricel Dima, Under-Secretary of State in Agriculture Ministry talked about the programs to be developed by the ministry for supporting local producers.
