Annual Inflation in Romania Stays at 3% in March

Romania's annual inflation rate remained flat at 3% in March, the same as in February, data from the country's statistics board showed Friday.

Food prices grew 5.1% in March compared with March 2019, prices of non-food items were 1.4% higher, and service prices grew 3.8%.

Compared with February, consumer prices grew 0.5% in March.

According to its February inflation report, Romania's central bank sees year-end inflation at 3% in 2020. However, the projection may change considering the impact of the coronavirus crisis.
