Four Children Lost in Prahova County Flash Flood, Rescue Operations Underway

Five individuals, of which four are children aged six and below, were surprised by a flash flood in the township of Sangeru, Prahova county, on Friday afternoon. Tens of firefighters are involved in a mission to search for the children, who were carried away by the floods.

The four children were all declared missing, while the adult who accompanied them, a woman, was saved by a neighbor.

According to the Prahova county Emergency Services Inspectorate, 30 firefighters are searching for the children, whose ages are between nine months and six years.

Prahova county is currently under code orange warnings of rain and flooding.
