Meteorologists Extend Code Yellow Rainfall Alert For N, NE, C Romania Until Friday Night

Romanian meteorologists extended the code yellow alert for rain until Friday at 11 p.m. for 12 counties in the northern, northeastern and the central part of the country.

According to weather administration authority ANM, Maramures, Suceava, Botosani, Iasi, Neamt, Harghita, Mures, Bistrita - Nasaud, Brasov, Bacau, Covasna and Vrancea are the 12 counties placed under a code yellow advisory for rainfall.

Heavy rainfall caused floods on most of the country's rivers and latest data show flooding has claimed the lives of 22 people and caused serious material damages.
