Meteorologists Issue Code Yellow Alert For Rain, Hail In W Romania

Romanian meteorologists on Friday issued a yellow code warning for heavy rain, violent gusts and hail, valid from Friday evening until Saturday evening for the western part of the country.

According to the Romanian National Meteorology Administration (ANM) website, the code yellow alert is valid for Maramures, Crisana, Banat and Oltenia regions, as well as for the western and northern parts of Transylvania.

Meteorologists also warned that rivers countrywide, except those in the Dobrogea region, southeastern Romania, might overflow their banks due to heavy rainfalls, and the alert is valid from Friday until Sunday morning.
