Romania Ups Terror Alert To ‘Moderate’

Romania’s Supreme Defense Council on Tuesday decided to increase the national terror alert to “moderate” from “cautious,” triggering the activation of a series of special collaboration measures between state institutions, the presidency said in a statement.

The yellow-coded “moderate” alert level implies a general risk of terrorist attacks.

The Supreme Council discussed Tuesday the ongoing security measures in view of the NATO summit to be held in Bucharest between April 2 and April 4.
