Romania’s Conservative Party on Sunday presented their candidate for Bucharest mayoralty, namely Codrin Stefanescu, during a protest action against Acting General Mayor Adriean Videanu.

The conservatives criticized Videanu for the manner in which he settled the litigation between Bucharest mayoralty and businessman Costica Costanda over a plot of land in Bordei Park.

Costanda recently foreclosed the accounts of the Bucharest mayoralty for over EUR17 million gained in court for the land owned in Bucharest’s Bordei Park.
