Romanian Education Ministry To Cut 401 Jobs

Romanian education minister Ecaterina Andronescu said Wednesday the Agency for Student Loans will merge with the Center for Student Scholarships and the National Center for Curriculum will be included in the Institute for Educational Science, 401 jobs being thus cut.

Andronescu said that the new agency resulted from the reorganization of the Agency for Student Loans and the Center for Student Scholarships will be named the Agency for Student Loans and Scholarship.

These reorganizations imply the cut of 401 jobs, saving RON12 million per year, according to the minister.
