Romanian, Hungarian Ambulances, Firefighters To Intervene In Both Countries

The Romanian and Hungarian governments agreed Tuesday in a joint meeting in Szeged, Hungary, to provide a common legal framework and logistics allowing emergency services in the two countries to intervene on each other’s territory.

Institutions in charge of coordinating the 112 emergency service in both countries will authorize ambulance and fire-fighting teams to intervene and assist victims in the neighboring country.
 
The joint declaration targets a cross-border partnership to ease the granting of speedy assistance and relief in case of emergency.
