Romanian Opp Liberals To Challenge 2011 State Budget Law At Constitutional Court

The Romanian opposition Liberal Party will challenge the 2011 state budget law at the Constitutional Court on Thursday, liberal deputy Eugen Nicolaescu said Wednesday.

Romania's Parliament on Wednesday evening adopted the state budget for 2011, with 207 votes in favor, 143 votes against and no abstentions.

After the final vote on the state budget law, lawmakers also adopted the social security budget for 2011. All amendments submitted by the opposition have been rejected.
