Romanian singer Andreea Banica won the Best Romanian Act award in the 14th edition of MTV Europe Music Awards, which took place Thursday in Munich, Germany.

Andreea Banica began her career in the band Exotic, and went on in the band Blondy. She is currently a solo artist. Her first solo album, "Dansez Dansez" was launched in 2005.

Her latest album is called "Rendez-vous".

Other Best Romanian Act nominees included Simplu, Alex, Activ and DJ Project.

The winner was appointed through the vote of the public
