All Flights From Bucharest To Spain Canceled Over Spanish Air Traffic Controllers Strike

The two flights that were supposed to arrive in Bucharest have about 250 passengers.

Air traffic in Spain is halted because of a wildcat strike of Spanish air traffic controllers that started Friday evening. Several airlines including Air France, KLM, Thai Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair have cancelled their flights to Madrid Saturday.

The Spanish Government has declared state of alert, said Spanish Interior Minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba. Spain's military has already taken control of the nation's airspace after air traffic controllers called in sick en masse.
