Romanians coming from abroad will no longer be forced into quarantine or isolation, according to the draft law on the state of alert. Those returning to the country will have to present a medical certificate attesting that they do not have COVID-19.

The certificate, issued no later than 48 hours before entering Romania, must be presented at the border. It must certify that the person returning to the country does not have COVID-19.

The document must be translated into Romanian, but not for those returning from the Republic of Moldova.

Furthermore, those suspected of COVID-19 may be isolated or quarantined. For example, those who do not present this document to the doctor or those who have come into contact with confirmed persons.

And air travel will be totally different. In the state of alert, the Ministry of Transport may request clear rules for the sanitation of airports, aircraft and other equipment.

There will also be measures of social distancing and rules of conduct. The set of rules will also be established by the ministry.

The law with the measures that could be applied in the state of alert passed the final vote in the Parliament on Wednesday.
