Romania's Government Dismissed in No-Confidence Vote

Romania's liberal government was dismissed Wednesday in a no-confidence vote after it took responsibility for changing election legislation for the country's upcoming local elections.

The Cabinet led by liberal Ludovic Orban was dismissed with 261 votes.

The liberal government was instated in November 2019 after toppling the social-democrat government in a no-confidence vote.
