Romanian Auctions For EU-Funded Projects To Follow Standard Documents

The auctions for projects financed by the European Union in the fields of transports, energy, environment and regional development will take place according to standard documents, which will be drafted by Romanian authorities in cooperation with European Commission experts.

The standard documents will have a number of elements in common, but will also be differentiated according to the contracting authority and industry, said Prime Minister Emil Boc in the Government's meeting Wednesday.

The prime minister said contracts have been signed for EU funds worth EUR10 billion, but auction procedures need to be simplified.

The documents should receive the Government's authorization by February.

The prime minister also asked the Ministry of Agriculture to draft standard documents for auctions for projects financed by the EU by February 15.
