Romanian Foreign Minister Baconschi Joins Ruling Democratic Liberal Party

Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi joined the ruling Democratic Liberal Party on Tuesday, people close to the matter told MEDIAFAX.

On May 13, the minister said he is thinking about entering politics, as a democrat liberal.

He was appointed minister of foreign affairs in December 2009. Previously, he had been Romania's ambassador to Paris, a presidential advisor and ambassador to the Vatican.
