"Ministers from the Boc Cabinet may not be appointed to interim positions again. The ministries will be managed by state secretaries," Basescu said.
The ministries headed by social democrats until October 1, when the social democrats resigned, are currently run by interims. President Basescu on October 1 signed the decrees appointing democrat liberals to interim positions: Emil Boc - Education, Gheorghe Pogea - Labor, Gabriel Sandu - Communications, Radu Berceanu - Agriculture, Elena Gabriela Udrea - Environment, Catalin Marian Predoiu - Foreign Affairs, Adriean Videanu - Health, Sorina Luminita Placinta - Relation with the Parliament. Earlier that day, Basescu had signed the decrees dismissing Dan Nica and appointing Vasile Blaga interim minister for the Interior.
According to the Constitution, interim positions are legal for up to 45 days. Therefore, the ministers' terms will expire on November 14.
