After a meeting of the Ruling Democratic Liberal Party's lawmakers, Boc said he asked MPs to pass legislation regarding the investment program with state budget and EU money.

"In 2011, Romania will consolidate the structural reform measures it had to take in n 2010 and these measures will start to yield results this year as the economy emerges from recession," Boc said.

The prime minister also said the Government wants to have the Constitution revised, to respond to Romanians' wishes after a referendum of 2009 which called for a single chamber Parliament with fewer lawmakers.

"This is a political goal the Democratic Liberal Party has undertaken and that it will carry out," Boc said, adding he hopes the opposition will also back the revision of the country's fundamental law.

Boc also listed labor legislation among the Government's priorities. Revised labor legislation is to be debated in Parliament starting February.
