Black Sea Countries Eye Building Grand Highway

The construction of a highway to connect all countries on the Black Sea shore is still in the project phase and is likely to take shape, said on Wednesday transports minister Ludovic Orban.

“We are currently in talks on building the Black Sea highway. The project may very well not materialize,” said the minister.

Romania, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine will grant budget funds to finance the construction of a 7,000 kilometers highway. Bulgarian site Novinite wrote that the construction of the project may start after a memorandum is signed in this sense.
