Bucharest Aurel Vlaicu Airport Opens Terminal For Business Flight Passengers

The Aurel Vlaicu (Baneasa) airport, near capital Bucharest, on Tuesday opened a terminal for business flight passengers, following an investment of EUR2.5 million.

The terminal has two boarding gates and a capacity of 30,000 passengers per year.

Financing to build the terminal was ensured by the Bucharest National Airport Company (CNAB) from its own resources.

Transport Minister Anca Boagiu said Thursday low-cost flights will be moved from the Aurel Vlaicu airport to the Henri Coanda (Otopeni) airport in March 2012.
