Bucharest Baneasa Intl Airport Only Open To NATO Summit-Related Traffic

Bucharest Baneasa International Airport will be closed to all aircraft other than those conducting flights in view of the NATO summit in April, according to a draft act of the Ministry of Defense.

Bucharest Baneasa Intl Airport Only Open To NATO Summit-Related Traffic

The act stipulates aircraft conducting flights in view of the NATO summit will be considered priority against civilian aircraft, excepting emergency cases.  

Traffic restrictions at the Bucharest Baneasa airport will be enacted between April 1 and April 5, 2008, starting with the first flight transporting official delegations that enters Romanian airspace.
