A cold Siberian front sweeping Europe has claimed the lives of twenty-two people in Romania between January 20 and 25, eleven of which died over the past 24 hours in eastern and central Romania, the Health Ministry said Monday.

Romania is under a weather advisory for frosty weather and blizzards until Wednesday, and temperatures are expected to go below minus 25 degrees throughout the country at night.
The central Romanian county of Covasna county reported this winter's lowest temperatures Monday morning, of minus 34.4 degrees Celsius.
