Compensated Drugs For Romanian Pensioners Worth Below RON600

Romanian health minister Ion Bazac announced Friday that pensioners with a monthly income below 600 lei (EUR1 = RON4.2522), will be able to buy a at most RON100 worth of 90% compensated medicine every month, starting March 1.

In Romania there are 3,080,000 pensioners with pensions below RON600.

The program will be financed with vice tax money and it will not take funds form the National Health Insurance House budget allotted for compensated medicine, the government said.
