Democrat Liberal Vasile Blaga Leading Elections For Bucharest Mayor-Exit Polls

Democrat liberal candidate for Bucharest mayoralty, Vasile Blaga is leading with 31.5% of the votes, one point ahead independent Sorin Oprescu, an exit poll conducted by INSOMAR showed Sunday.

Liberal candidate Ludovic Orban ranked third, with 13.7% of the votes, followed by social democrat Cristian Diaconescu – 9.9% and representative of National Initiative Party, Cozmin Gusa – 5.1%.

A second exit poll, conducted by the Company for Sociologic Research and Branding, also showed Blaga heading the elections for mayor, with 33% of the votes, followed by Oprescu – 30%.
