Democratic Union Of Hungarians In Romania Leader Happy With EP Elections Result

Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania president Marko Bela said Sunday evening that the Union’s result in the European Parliament elections was “very good” and that the electorate stuck together and turned out to vote.

“A very good result, better than in 2007, which means the Hungarian electorate displayed solidarity and exemplary organization,” Marko said in the Transylvanian city of Targu Mures.

Marko said he is sure UDMR has earned three MEP seats and hopes for four seats. The UDMR leader congratulated his colleagues, Iuliu Winkler, Sogor Csaba and Tokes Laszlo.
