European Parliament Approves New European Commission

The election vote for the EU's executive arm, led again by Portugal's Jose Manuel Barroso, was preceded by hearings of the 27 Commissioners-designate organized by the committees of Parliament in January and February.

The commissioners, including Romania's Dacian Ciolos, will be sworn in before the European Court of Justice in Luxemburg.
