Eurostat: Romania Posts Fourth Biggest GDP Growth in 4Q/2018

Romania posted the fourth largest annual economic growth in the European Union in the fourth quarter of 2018, of 4%, on a par with Slovakia, Eurostat data showed Thursday.

GDP rose by 1.2% in the euro area and by 1.4% in the EU28 in the fourth quarter of 2018, Eurostat data showed.

Romania's gross domestic product grew 4.1% on the year in 2018 (4% in real terms), a flash reading from the country's statistics board showed Thursday.
