Fiorentina Dismisses Report On Contract Renewal For Romanian Adrian Mutu

Italian football club AC Fiorentina on Thursday dismissed as groundless a media report saying the club will extend their contract with Romanian forward Adrian Mutu until the summer of 2012.

Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport wrote earlier Thursday that Fiorentina will renew Mutu’s contract and that will also raise his salary.

Mutu’s current salary at Fiorentina is of EUR1.5 million a year.
