Ford Pays EUR57M For 72.4% Of Romania’s Automobile
Ford Motor Co. (F) paid late Wednesday EUR57 million for the 72.4% stake in Romania’s state-owned Automobile Craiova assembly plant, the country’s privatization authority (AVAS) deputy president Laszlo Gyerko said.

In September last year, Ford agreed to pay EUR57 million for a 72.4% stake in Automobile and pledged to invest another EUR675 million to upgrade the plant.
The final papers will be signed on Friday in south Romania city Craiova, by Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu and Ford Europe president John Fleming.
