Four Dead In Train-Car Collision In NE Romania

Police in Botosani, northeastern Romania, have confirmed the four people in the car that was hit by a train Thursday morning have died.

Police spokeswoman Daniela Darea said the four people in the car, three men and one woman, have been found dead. Three of the victims are still trapped in the car while the fourth, a man, was found about 200 meters away from the place of impact.

Police said the driver of the car failed to stop at the railroad crossing. The train involved in the accident is a private one.

None of the passengers on the train was injured.
