Three functional bombshells dating back to the Second World War were discovered in a waste storage facility within Romanian refinery Petrobrazi. The ammunition was picked up by the Inspectorate for Emergencies (ISU) and will be destroyed.

Functional World War II Bombs Found In Romanian Refinery

According to Prahova county ISU spokesperson Bogdan Iliescu, representatives of the refinery notified ISU that workers had discovered several projectiles.

The ammo was found on a platform within the refinery, where there was a iron and masonry waste storage center.

Iliescu said there are three 37- millimeter caliber projectiles, dating back to the year 1942, all three functional.

The ammo was picked up by two ISU Prahova officers and was stored in a specially set up area, where it will be destroyed.
