Lufthansa To Expand Operations NW Romania As Of 2008

Germany’s airliner Lufthansa AG will expand its Romanian operations in 2008 by including the northwestern city of Cluj-Napoca in its flight routes, Cluj officials said Tuesday.

The flight schedule and collaboration details will be discussed between Lufthansa officials and the management of the Cluj-Napoca International Airport, Marius Nicoara, president of Cluj County Council said.

Lufthansa will be the fourth national airliner operating on the Cluj airport, after Italy’s Alitalia, Hungarian Malev, and, of course, Romanian Tarom.
