Milan-Bound Bucharest Flight Returned Over Engine Trouble

A Milan-bound flight from Bucharest was forced to land back on the Bucharest international airport 20 minutes after takeoff due to engine trouble, an airport official said.

The flight, operated by low-cost carrier Easyjet, had 149 passengers on board, airport spokeswoman Mihaela Chirila said.

She added the airplane landed safely and the airline has yet to decide whether its passengers will be put on another plane or the technical problem will be fixed and the flight resumed.

Airport officials said pilots noticed one of the plane's engines was not running at full capacity minutes after takeoff and decided to go back.
