The ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest, Lidia Guţu, was asked to go to Chisinau (the capital city of Moldova) for consultations, a press release of the Moldovan Foreign and European Integration ministry reads.

Prior to this, the minister had announced that two Romanian diplomats were declared personae non-gratae, as their activities were incompatible with their diplomatic positions.

The two Romanian officials are to leave Moldova within 24 hours.
