Over 700 Romanian Citizens Evacuated From Libya

Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Baconschi announced Thursday that 735 Romanian citizens have been evacuated from Libya.

The minister said 33 more Romanian evacuees arrived in Bucharest Thursday morning.

According to the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Romania has carried out 15 evacuation operations since February 21.

The ongoing unrest in Libya, against the government and its leader Muammar Gaddafi, has left thousands dead.
