Plane Misses Landing Strip On Romanian Airport

One plane left the runway on western Romanian airport Oradea, Friday afternoon, following problems with the landing gear.

There are no victims, according to Adrian Vasilescu, head of the Romanian Civil Aeronautic Authority.

Vasilescu added the plane involved in the incident is a Gulfstream type, but he could not say how many people were on board.

According to some of the airport employees, the plane went some 200 meters beyond the runway and stopped “on its belly” about ten meters away from the fence encircling the airport.
