Romania Confirms 57th Swine Flu Infection

The Romanian authorities on Thursday confirmed the 57th infection with the new A/H1N1 flu virus in the country, in a 23-year-old man who returned from Spain last week.

The patient is being treated at the infectious diseases institute Matei Bals, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

This is the fourth swine flu infection confirmed in Romania over the past three days.

None of the 57 cases resulted in the patient’s death.
