The International Monetary Fund suggested Romania increased the flat tax rate to 20% from 16% currently and the value added tax to 24%, daily Gandul quoted people familiar with the talks as saying earlier today.
Increasing the VAT to 25% from 19% currently is not among the topics discussed, Vladescu said.
"We are discussing several options. We've discussed them yesterday and the day before as well," the minister said.
