Romania Opens First Bear Reservation C Country

The first Romanian bear reservation was officially inaugurated Monday, in the county of Brasov, central Romania, by the Association "Milioane de Prieteni" and by the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

The reservation includes 70 hectares of pasture and is surrounded by 1,500 meters of fence and by 15 kilometers of electric barbed wire.

The World Society for the Protection of Animals invested EUR1.5 million in Zarnesti reservation, which will be open to public in the upcoming weeks.

Zarnesti reservation can host up to 100 bears.
