Voter turnout in Romania’s presidential election was at 36.19% by GMT1400, the Central Electoral Bureau said.

Turnout for the presidential election was of 33.69% in urban areas and 39.62% in rural areas.

Voter turnout in capital Bucharest was at 32.42% by GMT1400.

Romania has about 18 million registered voters and polls close at GMT1900.
