Romania Registers 3.427 AH1N1 Infections, Five Deaths
Romania has registered 168 new infections with the AH1N1 flu virus over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 3,427, and five people with the illness have died, said Wednesday Adrian Streinu-Cercel, state secretary with the Health Ministry.

Streinu-Cercel said the two people infected with the virus who died over the past 24 hours also had leukemia and suffered from obesity, respectively.
The state secretary also said no mutations of the virus have been registered in the country so far, but medical authorities are testing patients to see if any such cases occur.
Romania started a countrywide vaccination campaign last week.
