Romania Registers 53 Deaths, 5,625 AH1N1 Infections

Romania registers 53 fatalities and 5,625 infections with the AH1N1 flu virus, as one death and 58 new infections have been reported over the past 24 hours, Romania’s Health Ministry said Wednesday.

According to the ministry, new AH1N1 infection cases were registered in Arges, Constanta, Bacau, Dolj, Galati, Harghita, Hunedoara, Olt and Sibiu (one case each), Brasov and capital city Bucharest (six cases each), Buzau (13), Dambovita and Ialomita (two cases each), Mures (seven cases), Prahova (three cases) and Timis (ten cases).

The latest AH1N1 fatality was reported in a person suffering from obesity, the ministry also said.
