Romania’s Communications Minister Resigns

Romania’s Premier Calin Popescu Tariceanu on Monday signed the resignation request forwarded by Communication Minister Iuliu Winkler, who is to start his mandate as member of the European Parliament.

The Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania, or UDMR, will nominate the new communications minister.

Winkler forwarded his resignation on Saturday.
