Romania’s Vegetable Output Re-Launched This Year – Minister

Romania’s vegetable output was re-launched this year as the surface occupied by greenhouses increased by 645 hectares compared to 2010, Agriculture Minister Valeriu Tabara said Thursday at the Mediafax Talks about Agriculture conference.

"We are witnessing a re-launch of the vegetable output. This year, we have 645 more hectares of greenhouses than last year," said Tabara.

Tabara also said the trade deficit on food products has narrowed from EUR553 million to EUR462.5 million in the first four months of the year.
